What to expect as a Resident Care Assistant(RCA) at Frances Warde Towers The Resident Care Assistant assists with the spiritual, psychological, emotional, and physical well-being of the Frances Warde Apartment residents.
Current C.
NA Certification in the State of Connecticut is required for this position.
Position is 16 hours a week, every other weekend:
Week 1 Sun/Friday Week 2 Sat/Tuesday 1.
Demonstrates, promotes and integrates the mission of Mercy Community Health and its core values in daily work activities.
2.
Provides direct patient care services of a personal nature, which may include but are not limited to:
assistance with bathing and dressing and supervision over self-administered medication.
3.
Administers prescribed medication to patients and maintains related medical records.
Receives supply of ordered medications and apportions, mixes or assembles drugs for administration.
Records and restocks medication inventories.
Paid training for Medication Administration 4.
Verifies identity of patient receiving medications and records information.
Presents medication to resident and observes ingestion or other application documenting as required.
Takes vital signs or observes patient to detect response to specified types of medications and notifies designated personnel of unexpected reactions.

Reports any change in condition to Residential Services or designee.
6.
Documents reasons why prescribed drugs are not administered.
7.
Assists residents with ordering medications, making medical appointments, and arranging transportation.
8.
Delivers resident mail.
9.
Maintains daily resident flow sheets.
10.
Safeguards the integrity and right to privacy of the residents and their families.
11.
Assists in the admission, transfer and discharge of residents.
12.
Promptly reports any equipment in need or repair.
13.
Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of resident rooms.
14.
Responds promptly to changes in workload, adjusting assignments as necessary to achieve optimal productivity and efficiency.
15.
Presents neat appearance in appropriate dress and identification as required by the position, department and facility.
16.
Maintains facility's attendance and punctuality requirements to ensure proper coverage and quality service to residents and facility.
17.
Follows all safety, security, infection control (including Category I Universal Precautions) and hazardous materials policies and procedures; performs all tasks to assure resident and personal safety and the protection of co-workers and (facility) property.
18.
Customer satisfaction and a focus on quality improvement are evident in all aspects of work.
19.
Dedicated to providing services which anticipate and exceed resident and family needs.
20.
Maintains high standards of business and ethical conduct in accordance with applicable Federal, State and local laws and regulations including fraud, waste and abuse.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
