Jade Marketing Group and Onyx Design Group are located in West Hartford, CT. The company is a wholesale manufacturer of denim. We manufacture 7 different brands as well as Private Label denim. The company is an innovative, fast paced, high energy work place environment.
We are currently looking to fill a QC Coordinator position.
Evaluate T.O.P. and size set samples for Brand and Private label
Compare samples to approved standards for fit, wash, treatments, trims, labeling, marketing, overall workmanship & construction.
Send approval/refection comments to factories
Receive all bulk QC results notifications from overseas
Figure out which styles need to be inspected at warehouse based on T.O.P. results & QC results.
Work with Production department on how issues affect delivery
Work with warehouse to coordinate when goods arrive in order to inspect in timely manner without holding up picking/packing
Work with Tech Department to understand our fit and quality standards
Work with Customer Service Department for checking customer special T.O.P.S to be sent out
Inspect bulk goods in warehouse for: measurements, wash, treatments, trims, labeling, marketing/ workmanship
Coordinate with all parties regarding how to proceed once bulk has been inspected
Set up rating system by factory and sub contract factory as to quality of production and execution.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
Measures and inspects woven & knit garments and ensures they conform to sizing requirements
Ensures fabric is without flaws, such as
Ensures garment construction is correct, such as:
Collars balanced and pockets are even
Collars and pockets are securely sewn, evenly balanced and correctly aligned
Color of all trims and threads
Embellishment, pocket details
Positioning of embroideries
Seams are secure and correctly tensioned
Button and buttonhole stitching is neat, aligned and secure
Job Requirements
College degree preferred (textiles preferred)
Minimum 2 years experience in Quality Assurance in garment industry
Good knowledge of inspection and control methods, techniques and documentation
Good computer skills including, MS Word and MS Excel
Experience with AQL inspection
Solid understanding of garment fitting and constructionEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
