Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Business Intelligence Developer to join our team at our West Hartford, CT location. This person will be responsible for enterprise projects of Master Data Management, Data Warehouse, SharePoint, in-house, and vendor supplied application databases. Work with Enterprise Architect, BI Architect, development teams and business to deliver Business Insight to the enterprise. In this role, you will also be responsible for extending and maintaining the information that is collected and utilized in the Data Warehouse including design and construction of the database objects, OLAP Cubes and the ETL utilizing SQL Server 2012, Visual Studio 2010/2012 and TFS 2010.

Education:
o BS in computer science or related field.
o Microsoft MCSE, MCSM, MCITP, or MCM (desired)

Experience:
o 10
years experience using Windows Server, Microsoft SQL Server, SSAS, SSIS, SSRS and DTS
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
o Skills and experience designing and constructing Data Warehouses using Microsoft SQL Server and SSAS to deliver business insight to the organization
o Knowledge and experience of the administration of a Data Warehouse environment, and OLTP environments
o Knowledge and experience of monitoring and support of the Data Warehouse and OLTP environments.
o Design and construction of user facing presentation tools leveraging tools like SSRS, SharePoint, Crystal, Cognos and Excel PowerPivot
o Experience with Enterprise Master Data management, specifically projects involving Microsoft Master Data Services, and Profisee are desired.
o Must have a demonstrated history of successfully working with development teams within a corporate hierarchy.
o Must be able to work with business users and IT staff in documenting requirements, architecting, and constructing solutions that meet the business needs.
o Requires strong organizational and time management skills, close attention to detail and be able to effectively handle multiple priorities.
o Must possess excellent project management skills, including demonstrated ability to develop and manage to a project plan, establish priorities, work to deadlines and control a number of projects at various stages of work.
o Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills and be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
o Must be an effective listener, able to maintain focus extract necessary information and validate understanding of the information.
o Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning systems ( JDE, SAP, etc. ) beneficial but not required.
What you'll be doing:
Uses experience to bring best practices in Business Intelligence.
Manage the physical implementation of the Enterprise Data Warehouse in SQL Server.
Manage the partitions, index and query optimization, dimensional modeling design and changes, support with regards to slowly changing dimension attributes.
Manages the nightly data integration jobs loading data into the data warehouse and the master data services hub from all sources.
Manages the multidimensional databases in SQL Server.
Develop and deploy cubes, dimensions and measures, develop calculated measurements as required, manage security authorization.
Collaborates with and mentors other members of the Development team on a daily basis.
Consults with business customers to ensure alignment of projects and development efforts with business needs and strategic goals
Performs other similar and related duties as such as backups, maintenance plans, monitoring, and applying SQL Updates.
